Tu-tu's and Candy

We really tried to get all the girls together. We almost did, but poor Aiyla bonked her head and Anna was a little shy. Tu-tus were given out and lots of toys and candy. The parents had lots of alcohol, so everyone was happy. The kids were able to nap each day so they were able to stay out late. Lily and I stayed up until 10:30, she thought that was pretty cool. The party girls on the couch are- Gracie, Alex, Lily, and Rosie. I have a feeling this won't be the last time these girls party all night. Oh help us......

As most of you know, the families that we meet up every year are the ones we traveled with to China to bring our girls home. What makes our group so special, besides our beautiful girls, is that all the girls come from the same orphanage and are only two months apart.

Lily's China Sisters

We had another great reunion at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, OH. This year we noticed the girls really interacted with each other and had a great time. I love this look on Jack's face.

Visiting with my Aunt Sherry, Uncle Ken, Suzy, and Cassie

On our way to Lily's China reunion in Mason, OH, we stopped in Covington, KY, to see my Aunt and Uncle. They live in a sky rise condo overlooking Cincinnati. Jack called it the "Lego Building" because of the color and style of the building. Needless to say, it was a great place to visit. They got to play on the piano, meet Cassie, the new pup in town, and hang out with my cousin Suzy. The next day we headed out to Newport to the aquarium. Lily was absolutely spoiled with being held the hold time. We had a great visit, and hopefully be invited back soon.

Piano recital

The kids had a piano recital at the local library. Talk about funny. Jack kept wanting to come up and play, then he kept turning around making sure we were listening and doing the thumbs up thing. Lily was a little nervous, not much, and Jack just wanted a laugh. Overall, they did a great job. Jack played Wheels on the bus, Shoo fly, and Yankee Doodle. Lily played I'm a little teapot, The mulberry bush, and the bear went over the mountain.

Ladies of Notre Dame fashion show

I rarely have the chance to take both of my "mothers" to any kind of function, but it turned out we went to the Ladies of ND fashion show. And so close to Mother's day too. Major points Emily, Jen, and Angie. (my sister and sister in laws) We had a nice lunch, a cute fashion show and some little take home gifts.

Yes, my son likes Crickets

I bought the kids some flavored dried crickets, kinda a joke, but Jack had the last laugh. He actually liked them and ate most of them. Very strange, since he hardly eats vegetables and few fruits. We all just shook our heads as we watched him chomp along and pick up the few last legs and lick his fingers.

Charleston

Matt had a conference in Charleston, so I tagged along. My inlaws watched the kids. The weather was great, and the food even better. Some of the other spouses and myself did a carriage tour and shopped till we dropped. Had shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, collered greens, and pecan pie. YUMMM!!!

Bridges Art and Music Fair

This was so cute, Lily walked in the door, tore off to the dance floor, grabbed her boyfriend's hand (Aidan) and danced her socks off. Apparently, Aidan wasn't interested in dancing until he saw Lily walk in. They tell us they are going to get married. Jack wasn't interested in dancing and chose to play superheros with his friends in the back.
