It's fun to be a princess

Present time- what every kid gets excited for, except this time, Lily was sorta dumbfounded. Maybe it was too much, who knows. In the end, she enjoyed all of her gifts and so did Jack. Our little princesses love to dance around and hug each other. And then someone gets pushed or their feelings hurt, whichever comes first.

Happy Birthday Lily

Princess cake and trick candles

Well, I forgot to pick up candles at the store, so I found these candles in the basement. I didn't know they were trick relighting candles until Lily tried a couple of times to blow her candles out. I thought it was pretty funny, she didn't. Matt thought it was cruel. I really didn't know they were trick ones. Ha Ha.

Can we just get this over with??

I think Jack is already tired of it being "Lily's day."

"Baba corn"

Lily's birthday dinner was her favorite--corn of the cob, although for some strange reason she calls it "baba corn." She also always mentions that it gets stuck in her teeth.

Jack and Lily learn to swim!!

The kids have been taking swimming lessons from a woman out of her home. It has worked out great-there are only 4 in the class and the water is sooooo warm. The one picture of them looking stern is them telling me I need to go back to the patio. They do so much better with me out of the pool. OK OK.

Lily's new camera

Lily got a camera for a gift and La La took some great pictures of the kids. As you can tell, it has some silly features. Lily took her camera on her trip and took some great pictures. Most of her feet. There are over 300 pictures to look through, so if I see any good ones, I will post them later.

Princess Lily

Yet another birthday present for Lily. She loves to dress up, and dance around.

Minnesota Zoo

The weather couldn't have been any better. However, after two nights in a hotel, the kids were a little tired. I think so were Emily and Bryan.

Nascar??

Yes, it's true, Matt likes Nascar. Now the whole world knows.

Mall of America with Aunt Emily and Uncle Bryan

Lily's birthday present and the Romanin kids

The kids had so much fun together, and Lily got to open a birthday gift.

Elle and Lily

We drove up to Wisconsin Dells on our way to Minneapolis. We stayed in a cabin with Jen, Dave, and the girls. Here's Elle and Lily with lipstick. We didn't get any pictures of the kids at the waterpark though.

Don't be late to the ball Princesses.

Lily has been quarantined with a viral throat infection so we have had to spend the past couple of days at home. Jack has found his feminine side and likes playing princess with Lily. They hang out on the stairs and pretend it's their coach taking them anywhere they need to go. I hope digital pictures will be easy to show in the future-I'm sure his high school friends will love it. At least it will make for a good bribe.

Sophie had a long night....

Lily wanted Sophie to sleep with her last night because there was a storm outside. When we were ready to go to bed, Matt let Sophie out of Lily's room and noticed that Lily had but a petroleum based triple antibiotic ointment on not only herself, but on Sophie, her little people house, and her Princess stool. She said that Sophie's hair looked dry and she was putting "lotion" on it. She also said she was cleaning. Needless to say, it's been a challenge getting goop off everything in the middle of the night and Sophie's fur is a mess. Not only that but, I've been getting dirty looks from Sophie all morning. She puts up with alot and letting me know she's too old for this. I agree.
